Chocolate Milk "Ice Cold Funk the Greatest Grooves of" Album Review

Do that dance!
From New Orleans, comes this cool cutter funk disc. This septet never made any super hits like Superfreak or Boogie Wonderland but they created alot of heat between the years of 1974 and 1985.<br>Produced by funk doctor Alan Toussaint (he produced many of the Meter's first albums), you won't be able to stand still. The drums are hard and the horns and the vocals are too sweet, especially on Actions Speak Louder Than Words and Take It Off.Let the good times roll.

Breakestra "Hit the Floor" Album Review

Fun and Funky!
This album takes me back to a time when music was fun and made you want to dance. Everything, from the crazy drum beats to the vintage-sounding guitar, comes together to get you off your seat. These boys keep a raw sound that adds a live feel to their work, making it that much better. I can't help but start dancing when I hear "Recognize."

Video Breakestra - How Do You Really Feel?

From the album "Hit The Floor", released 2005 on the Ubiquity label.Breakestra is a funk "orchestra" from Los Angeles, California, formed by Miles Tackett in 1996.Heavily influenced by James Brown and the JB's and known for taking well known breaks and performing them live with their own twists on it. Cool little piece by them I thought I'd throw out there. I think everyone should have some Breakestra in their collection.
